Kiki is a popular playhouse because it has a veranda and can therefore accommodate a large number of children. The veranda has an additional bench and the 'stove' play panel inspires children to engage in role-play such as toy shop, cooking, etc. Role play is particularly important for a child's development because it lays the foundation for their understanding of the world around them while at the same time they learn social rules and how to compromise and resolve conflicts. The child learns about other children, but also about themselves. Like the other playhouses, the floors of the 'Kiki' playhouse are designed with a specially developed anti-slip cubic-grain surface, so the playhouse does not require a safety surface and can therefore stand on grass.
